Professional Slackliner WALKS Across Ski Lift Cable to Rescue Man

What are the odds that there’s a tightrope walker nearby?!?

Things got scary real quick when a man was trying to get off a chairlift in Keystone, Colorado, when his backpack got caught and he was pulled back down the mountain. As operators stopped the lift, the man was suspended 15 feet above the ground by his neck until he became unconscious.

Bystanders were unable to reach him. That is, until pro slackliner Mickey Wilson, a part-time ski instructor, came to the rescue. Wilson climbed a nearby tower and made his way to the unconscious man, cutting him loose before he was taken to the hospital.

Here’s eyewitness footage of the incident.
