The New England Patriots suspect wide receiver Julian Edelman tore his ACL in Friday’s preseason game against the Detroit Lions, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.
Edelman was taken to the locker room after he was left limping, following a catch during the first drive of the game.
He was seen reaching to the back of his right knee while on the ground before limping to the sideline.
Reports say Edelman is scheduled to receive an MRI over the weekend.
The Patriots have confirmed that Edelman did suffer a knee injury.
