Video shows her walking on the exposed ocean floor. Videos from others on social media indicate that the beaches will be back to normal within a day.
The centers of hurricanes have very low pressure, which explain how a hurricane as strong as Irma managed to pull water into its core, sucking it away from the beaches – according to the Washington Post.
