Hurricane Irma threatens to heavily damage close to 8.5 million properties in Florida, according to analytics from CoreLogic.

“An estimated 8,456,455 residential and commercial properties in Florida are at either ‘Extreme,’ ‘Very High’ or ‘High’ risk of wind damage from Hurricane Irma,” the firm said in a statement Friday.

CoreLogic’s analysis doesn’t incorporate possible damage from inland flooding.

Electric utility Florida Power & Light estimates 9 of the 10 million people they service could lose power during the storm, according to the Sun Sentinel.
