Position Title:  Continuity Director

The Continuity Director is part of the Traffic Department and is responsible for assigning the appropriate commercial copy.  Continuity works directly with the Production Department and with Account Executives to make sure the correct commercial copy airs for each advertiser.  Continuity occasionally communicates directly with agencies and clients regarding copy instructions.  Continuity communicates constantly with AE’s and Production to follow through on client requests.  Continuity also provides assistance to the Traffic Managers as necessary.

The Continuity Director must be organized, able to multi-task, work well under pressure and pay attention to detail.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Process all commercial instructions and revisions.
  • Process all copy flowing through vCreative.
  • Input copy into vCreative as needed.
  • Input commercial rotation and revise instructions in Viero as requested.
  • Work closely with Production.
  • Communicate with AE’s to gather correct copy.
  • Maintain live copy.
  • Perform manual verification of spots.  Replace unresolved exceptions or missed spots as necessary.
  • Prepare network affidavits.
  • Prepare scripts for notarization.
  • Import and maintain Total Traffic Network schedules and copy for all stations.
  • Maintain PSA orders and copy.
  • Maintain files as necessary.
  • Backup Traffic personnel as necessary.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree required.  

Skills

• Ability to learn and master software systems quickly.

• Proven ability to manage time, be self-motivated, multi-task, meet deadlines and work under deadline pressure.

• Detail oriented personality is a must.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule when required.

Experience:

• 1 year Traffic and /or Continuity experience.

• Experience with Viero, vCreative or comparable Traffic software systems preferred.

POSITION TITLE:  Account Executive

DEPARTMENT:  Sales

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify opportunities to put the advertising and promotional power of the three radio stations to work for local businesses.
  • Develop results based marketing strategies and promotional opportunities for clients.
  • Service clients from idea to execution.
  • Reach quarterly and yearly billing goals set by station management.
  • Effectively communicate goals and strategies with station management.
  • Prospect and develop new business constantly

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four year college degree preferred
  • Must love to sell, be results oriented and maintain high standards set by the stations WXKS AM/FM, WHBA, WJMN & WKOX and their respective sales department in all interactions with client.
  • Must be responsible, conscientious, accurate and thorough.
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills as well as excellent organization skills.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude when communicating with members of the department, its customers and outside vendors
  • Ability to deal effectively with tight deadlines and the diverse needs of clients.
  • 1+ years of Radio Sales or Outside Sales experience preferred.

COMPENSATION

  • Compensation based on your ability and experience
  • Commission based sales position.

POSITION TITLE:  PT Traffic Anchor/Editor, Total Traffic Network

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Total Traffic Network Leadership Team is looking for a Part Time Traffic Anchor / Editor to work with our Boston traffic team.

Position requires positive attitude, good work ethic, and willingness to learn and use technology to produce and record traffic reports and data. Applicant may be required to work a split schedule at times.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1 year ‘On Air’ Radio experience required. 
  • Knowledge in use of Audio Production Software required
  • Knowledge of Boston area roads, mass transit and traffic patterns. 
  • Ability to work in a loud high pressure environment. 
  • Possess and demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to multitask. 
  • Must be detail oriented.  "Following-up until resolved" skills are a must. 
  • Must be computer literate. 
  • Skills in Social Networking a must (Twitter, Facebook, etc)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the use of police scanners preferred.
  • Must be willing and available to work weekends, overnights and holidays.
