Winter Storm Warnings have been issued for Barnstable, Bristol, Dukes, Nantucket and Plymouth counties.
The current model, according to news partner NBC Boston, has the heaviest snow falling south of Route 128. These areas could see up to 6 inches of snow. 1-3 inches are expected in areas north.
Temperatures are expected to fall Friday afternoon and could lead to patches of black ice.
