"You were once a back up dancer," Billy questions, remarking on Tate's talented dancing at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in New York.

"On the Justin Bieber tour?"

"No," the "You Broke Me First" singer denies. "I don't know where this Wikipedia fact came from."

"It's a rumor. It's not true."

Yet, Tate is amused by the rumor, and jokes about encouraging it.

"I'll keep it going."

Tate's recent launch into stardom has taken the singer by surprise. "It's very surreal," Tate admits. She describes there are moments on stage when she thinks, "no way is this happening."

"They're such personal lyrics to me. To hear people sing them back is mind-blowing."

2022 is shaping up to be a massive year for the star. In addition to the release of her debut album, Tate will also headline three tours in Europe and the UK, and then touring with Shawn Mendes.
