Black Friday is starting earlier than ever this year. Walmart sales start at 8pm Thanksgiving night, 2 hours earlier than last year. Toys R Us is opening at 8pm as well, an hour earlier than last year. Target will open at 9pm.

Here are 5 reasons I'm glad Black Friday will start earlier than ever this year:

1) Besides singing Christmas carols, standing in line is my favorite holiday tradition.

2) Shorter to wait to get my Stompeez for a whole dollar less.

3) I love when stores smell like stuffing-breath.

4) Parking lot rage makes everything else in my life seem totally acceptable and pleasant.

5) Forget Santa Claus in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, fighting over a reduced-price turtleneck on Thanksgiving night is the real start of the holiday season.
