The rapper and producer has officially signed with Jay-Z's label

(WENN) - Rapper and producer Timbaland has signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation label.
The big industry news broke on both Roc Nation's website and Jay-Z's Life + Times blog; the announcement came with a photo (see photo here) of the rap heavyweights together in a recording studio.
At press time it is not clear what role Timbaland will have at Roc Nation. He has had producer credits on Jay-Z's last eight albums and the pair recently collaborated on Justin Timberlake's comeback single "Suit & Tie."
