Shortly after, NASA's official Twitter account retweeted it, and replied:
It wasn't clear whether the space agency was actually serious about helping the young star fulfill his dream of becoming the first artist to perform in space.
Former Nsync member Lance Bass was the last pop star to attempt to go into space. He went through NASA's training program back in 2002 to visit the International Space Station, but the trip was cancelled after the singer's sponsors backed out.
